Occupational therapists (OTs) help children take part in the everyday activities that matter to them, and eating is one of the most important. In the UK, occupational therapists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
For children with feeding difficulties, an OT looks at how a child experiences food through their senses, how stable and supported they feel at the table, and the skills they need to feed themselves.
